Local media reported that Colombian authorities arrested eleven members of an international drug trafficking network, operating in the capital city Bogota.
Police arrested the suspected narco-traffickers in Medellin, Cali and Bogota as part of a joint operation between the Prosecutor General’s Office and the anti-narcotics department of the national police. The arrest was made after almost two years of investigation.
According to the police, Oscar Gordillo Diaz, alias “Gordillo,” one of those captured, is the kingpin of the criminal organization. Gordillo was in charge of recruiting people to transport cocaine and heroin to Spain.
