28 killed in Syrian unrest

AFP news agency reported that at least 28 civilians including three women were killed by security forces on Friday during nationwide anti-government protests in Syria.

According to the source 16 people were killed when governmental troops backed by tanks and armored vehicles opened fire at participants of anti-regime rally in the center of the north-western Idleb city. Another 9 people died in clashes with security forces in Homs and in the outskirts ofDamascus. Three women were killed when army shelled a chicken hatchery in Al-Bara village.
