Pakistan/Terrorism: Nine terrorists killed in troubled tribal region

Pakistani Intelligence Officials said that a suspected U.S. drone killed nine alleged terrorists in Pakistan’s tribal region Tuesday morning. According to the reports, three missiles were fired on the hideout of suspected militants in the Shawal Area of North Waziristan, one of seven districts in Pakistan’s tribal region bordering Afghanistan.

Meanwhile, a suspected U.S. drone strike killed five terrorists on Sunday in a similar attack. Official security sources also claimed that another suspected drone strike killed 29 suspected terrorists in the region last week.

United State is the only country in the region known to have the ability to launch missiles from drones. However, U.S. officials normally do not comment on suspected drone strikes.
