Iran launches a cross-border operation on Iraqi territory; 30 people killed

According to sources of Iran’s Elite Revolutionary Guards, 30 Kurds had been killed on Saturday, during a cross-border operation launched against what they called a “terrorist group”, blamed to have staged last week’s Mahabad attack.

Reportedly, the troops were still looking for two other suspects that managed to flee.

As a reminder, 12 people were killed and some other 80 injured when a bomb exploded during a military parade marking the 30th anniversary of the start of the Iran-Iraq war on Wednesday.
