Al-Shabaab leader threatens with more attacks

In a message aired on Mogadishu Radio Stations on Thursday, the leader of the Al-Qaeda-linked Somali terrorist groupAl-Shabaab – that had claimed responsibility for the twin bombings in Uganda on Sunday – threatened with further attacks.

During the message, Sheik Muktar Abu Zubayr told Uganda’s president that more attacks would follow and also thanked the fighters of the Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan contingent who carried out the twin bombings that killed 76 people.

The terrorist group said the bombings were revenge for Uganda’s deployment of peacekeepers in Mogadishu with the African Union Force, known as AMISOM.
