Pakistani security officials stated that a German man wearing a burqa and carrying a pistol was arrested in North Waziristanon Monday after travelling from an area known as a hub for Al-Qaeda-linked terrorists.
According to police officials, the German, in his mid-20s, was in a vehicle with a local man and his young daughter when he was picked up at a check post in Bannu district, which borders North Waziristan. Reportedly, the German was being interrogated by a joint investigation team. Intelligence officials said he was travelling with a fake Pakistani passport.
Meanwhile, it has been reported that at least 14 terrorists were killed during Pakistani security forces’ operation in different regions of Swat and in Orakzai agency.
