Kosovo police announced on Thursday that an ethnic Albanian man was arrested for allegedly supporting a planned terrorist attack in North Carolina.
According to the police, suspected was arrested following an extradition request from the United States. However, police did not disclose any further information.
Reportedly, the man faces charges in North Carolina for providing material support to terrorists, conspiracy to kill, kidnap, damage property and other crimes.
Police spokesman said the arrest of the suspected was authorized by the judge with the European Union’s Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo, known as EULEX.
