20 killed in Kabul suicide bombing

On Tuesday morning a Taleban suicide bomber blew himself up in front of the US-founded Counterinsurgency Academyin Kabul, killing at least 20 people including eight Americans and an Afghan army officer, and injuring 47 others, security officials said.  NATO declined to comment whether any soldiers had been killed.

The explosion also seriously damaged 17 vehicles and neighbouring buildings.

Zabihullah Mujahed, a Taleban spokesman claimed responsibility for the bombing.
