Iraq/Terrorism: another top Al-Qaeda leader killed

Ahmed al-Obeidi a.k.a Abu Suhaib, a regional Al-Qaeda leader, has been killed on Tuesday morning during a joint US-Iraq operation in the northern province of Ninevah.

Al-Obeidi was responsible for spearheading terror activities in the provinces of KirkukNinevah andSalahuddin.

The incident came a day after Abu Ayyub al-Masri, the alleged leader of Al-Qaeda in Iraq, and Abu Omar al-Baghdadi, leader of the Al-Qaeda-linked Islamic State of Iraq (ISI), were killed in a similar operation.

The US military also released a statement saying American and Iraqi security forces would keep cooperating and put further pressure on terrorist organisations.
